Dear Members of the B.C. Amateur Baseball Association,

 

            It’s that time of year again!  RALLY CAP is back this spring and Baseball BC would like to remind everyone about this wonderful Program.  This grass-roots initiative is available to every association in the province and is straightforward to implement.

The Rally Cap program is an entry level program designed to introduce children to the game of baseball, keeping them active and engaged, while learning the skills of the game in a fun, safe and informative atmosphere.

RALLY CAP, while designed for the kids, is a tremendous teaching tool for coaches and parents entering the game, complete with lesson plans and initiation drills for skill development.   Since offering the program, many associations have seen positive results from athletes, coaches, and parents alike.  Moreover, participating associations have been excited to report rewarding registration increases…

The Rally Cap program is designed in the spirit of Hockey Canada’s “Timbits” hockey program and is currently being offered in communities coast to coast.

The RALLY CAP name comes, not only from the well used baseball saying, but also with a progressive element in mind that will allow each child the opportunity to test their progress 3 times in a season.  Actual baseball hats or Baseball Canada “rally caps” are awarded based on the level of accomplishment, much like the way martial arts belts are awarded.

Rally Cap orders are now being accepted on line or by printing off the following order form and sending it, along with payment, to the Baseball BC office.
