2013 Thunderbird College Baseball Recruit Showcase

When: Sept 28th & 29th 2013

Where: UBC Campus: War Memorial Gym/Thunderbird Baseball Park

Times: Saturday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, Sunday 9:00 am to 1:00 pm

For Who: Open for grade 10-12’s

Max. Number: 40 maximum. Evaluated by the UBC Coaching Staff

Cost: One Day $125.00/Two Days $150.00 (CASH ONLY)

 

Description:

Welcome to the Thunderbird College Baseball Recruit Showcase. This weekend is designed to introduce high school baseball players to an elite level baseball showcase withCanada’s best university baseball program.

 On Saturday morning, players will get a tour of the beautiful UBC campus along with a college information session. This will be followed by an evaluation workout at our new field turf baseball field which will include 60 times, infield/outfield, defense showcase and on-field Batting practice session evaluated by the UBC Coaching staff.

On Sunday morning, players will showcase their skills in game action.

 

  Saturday, September 28th

10:00am – Meet at War Memorial Gymnasium Main Foyer / Introductions/Coach McKaig, Coach Corness.

10:45am – Walk to Brock Hall: UBC Welcome Center – Check in for Campus Tour

11:00-12:00 – UBC Campus Tour

12:00-12:45 – Lunch (on your own) then walk up to Thunderbird Baseball Park

1:00-4:30pm – Ready on-field with 60 times, INF/OF Evaluation, BP on field.

4:30-4:45 (estimated) – On Field Wrap up

Sunday, September 29th

9:00am – Meet at Thunderbird Baseball Complex – Check in

9:15-9:45 – Dynamic Warm-up & Swings in the cage.

10:00-12:00 – Live Game and Scrimmage on field, Recruit pitchers throwing

12:00-12:45pm – Lunch (provided by UBC) and Q/A with Coaches and current players

1:00- Wrap Up
