The first “odd year” version of the Summer Games will begin Friday afternoon at Blundell Park in Richmond. Traditionally, the BC Summer Games is a multi-sport, zone-based event, run by the Summer Games Society of British Columbia in even numbered years. This year, Baseball BC has organized their own version of the Summer Games to provide more opportunities for athletes to participate. Baseball BC high-performance coaches will evaluate athletes for potential Prospects Camp invitations throughout the event.
Baseball BC has made two significant changes to the format of this year’s event.
1) Zones 1, 2, and 8 have been combined into a single zone to improve the competitive balance of the event.
2) Each of the five zones will have both a 14U and 15U team. There will be separate 14U and 15U tournaments within the same event. The 14U event will play on an 80-foot diamond, while the 15U event will play on a full sized diamond.
The schedule can be found on our Ballcharts website with scores updated here throughout the event.
