This Week in Baseball BC

March 25, 2013

This week TRU head coach Ray Chadwick and information on the Challenger Celebrity Golf tournament with Ian McLean.

The Canadian College Baseball Conference (CCBC) opened their 2013 spring championship season this past weekend.  One of the favourites again this year will be the TRU Wolfpack out of Kamloops.  After a 24 game exhibition season Ryan Watters talks with head coach Ray Chadwick.

Also, the 12th Annual Challenger Baseball Celebrity Golf Tournament presented by McDonalds will tee off on Tuesday June 18 at Meadow Garden’s Golf Club at Pitt Meadows.  Ryan talks with organizer Ian McLean about the event.

Global’s Steve Darling will be the emcee, while funds raised will directly benefit BC’s Challenger Baseball program that give children with cognitive or physical disabilities the opportunity to participate in Little League baseball.  Over $600,000 has been raised in the first 10 years of the golf tournament.
