The World Baseball Challenge is back in Prince George this week.

The 10-day tournament will feature Team Canada taking on the likes of the USA, Cuba and Japan. 

Team Canada opened the tournament on Tuesday aginst the USA.

Ryan Watters (@ryan2tswatters) talked with two Kelowna players who cracked the 2013 roster.  Jared Johnson makes his second appearance with Team Canada, while Corey Smith is in his first year.

What is LTAD?

Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) is a systemic approach developed and adopted by Baseball Canada to maximize a participant's potential and involvement in our sport. The LTAD framework aims to define optimal training, competition and recovery throughout an athlete's career. Enabling everyone to reach their full potential in the game of baseball and as an athlete.
