Coach Professional Development - NCCP Information

  • September 10, 2015

Dear Coach,

All Baseball Canada coaches certified in the National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) have three years to accumulate professional development points in order to maintain certification. For Regional and Provincial coaches, 12 points are required, and 18 points are needed to maintain certification at the Competition Development context.

The first three-year cycle for baseball coaches is scheduled to end on December 31, 2015. The Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) launched their certification period one year after Baseball Canada, therefore, we will extend the first cycle by one year in order to align with the CAC timelines.

Therefore, all coaches with a certification expiry date of December 31, 2015 will get a one-year extension to December 31, 2016. Our system will soon show the new expiry date on your profile, and there is no required action on your part. You can visit your profile at nccp.baseball.ca.

We thank you for your continued involvement in coaching baseball and serving our athletes across Canada. If you require more information, please contact Baseball Canada at coach@baseball.ca
